Father, Son & Holy Cow is a magical comedy full of emotion and cheerful reflection on transience and love. The world shown in the film, a little bit like a fairy tale, rural-idyllic, is a place where milk tastes like nowhere else, animals are endowed with extraordinary qualities, and the inhabitants live comfortably far away from modern civilization. The plot takes place in a small village near the sea. The titled classical musician Bogdan (Zamachowski) can’t come to term with the death of his wife, an outstanding singer. He lives in the countryside with his mother and stays in contact with his daughter, who lives in Berlin. A monotonous life of the heroes changes when Bogdan lets his cow, Klara, listen to the music of Mozart. Her milk will receive some miraculous properties: everyone who drinks it would remind himself of the best moments of his life. A debutante Radek Węgrzyn has been searching for a perfect place for shooting the film for a long time. It had to be a village untouched by modernity and archaically rustic. It is exactly in such a scenery that takes place this magic, full of warmth and humor story.
